"Do all the good you can. By all the means you can.
In all the ways you can. In all the places you can.
At all the times you can. To all the people you can.
As long as ever you can."

- John Wesley

It All Started With a Gift

WesleyLife literally started with a gift in 1946 when the famed Chamberlain Estate on Des Moines’ stately Grand Avenue was donated to the South Iowa Methodist Church Conference. Today, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, WesleyLife relies on corporate partnerships and generous donations of funds from hundreds of donors every year to support all aspects of its mission, from day-to-day operations to major building projects. We also offer many ways to give, from large or small donations of funds to needed goods, equipment and services to time and talents.

Join the WesleyLife Movement

We are transforming the experience of aging for more and more people. With your philanthropic partnership, we can connect increasing numbers of older Iowans with ways to stay healthier, more independent and more engaged in life, regardless of their stage of living.

What inspires me most about WesleyLife are the clients that we serve and the team we serve with. We are continuing to make a great impact, as this organization has been doing for over 75 years. As we look forward into the future, there are so many ways we're going to address social isolation, food-insecurity and wellness through aging both in our local communities and beyond. Sophia S. The WesleyLife Promise

Guided by Christian compassion, WesleyLife believes everyone should have the opportunity to live a life of continued growth, experience, engagement, and meaning regardless of physical, social, or economic circumstances.

Assistance from the Good Samaritan or Good Shepherd fund at a WesleyLife community can make a world of difference to a resident in need.

The promise began with WesleyLife's inception in 1947. Since then, we've assured our residents that if they deplete their financial resources through no fault of their own, they will never be asked to leave their homes with us, or experience a reduction in the degree of care they receive.

Supported solely by donations, the WesleyLife Promise is funded by each community's Good Samaritan or Good Shepherd fund. Neighbors helping neighbors; that's what being a Good Samaritan is all about.

Please consider donating to the Good Samaritan/Good Shepherd fund at the community of your choice to help keep residents safe and healthy at home. Whether you are giving for the first time or have supported these funds previously, we appreciate your compassion and generosity!
