Why WesleyLife at Home
WesleyLife is Iowa's only fully integrated, nonprofit home-based care provider and is dedicated to supporting the independence, health, and well-being of older adults wherever they call home. For more than 75 years, we’ve earned a reputation for delivering competent and compassionate care, and for more than two decades, we’ve extended that care into our clients’ homes. Through our broad network of services and programming, we inspire older adults to pursue joyful, meaningful lives and provide practical support to empower their independence, health, and well-being.
Care Offerings for Every Patient
If your patient needs assistance with activities of daily living, healthy meal preparation, or household chores, a dedicated in-home services team member can visit as frequently as needed to check in and lend a helping hand.
Our clinical care team can assist patients with routine medical needs, such as health assessments and labs, wound care, specialized therapies (e.g., physical, occupational, and speech), medication administration, and chronic condition management. Following an injury or illness, at-home care can promote a smoother transition from the hospital back to daily life.
Patients with serious medical conditions can benefit from our in-home palliative care, designed to enhance physical comfort and address mental, emotional, and social needs. This form of care complements curative medical treatment, ensuring the patient feels fully supported.
Hospice serves patients with life-limiting illnesses who are no longer pursuing curative treatments. Interdisciplinary teams support hospice patients through symptom and pain management, counseling, social services, and more to ensure they receive comprehensive and compassionate end-of-life care in the place they’re most comfortable.
We combat food insecurity and social isolation by delivering thousands of healthy meals to older adults and military veterans. Food is regularly delivered frozen or hot by a volunteer who spends time with each recipient, creating a social bond and checking in on their well-being.
Enriching programming that enhances the lives of individuals with memory challenges and provides relief and support to caregivers during the day.
In short-term rehabilitation in a WesleyLife community, you or your loved one will access effective speech, occupational, and physical therapies to become well enough to return home — even healthier and stronger than before!
WesleyLife Hospice is a Level 5 partner of We Honor Veterans, the industry’s highest military-related designation.

Patient Resources
Your patients likely express concern about the costs involved with at-home care. Fortunately, in many instances, these services are more affordable than patients realize, and various coverage options and payment strategies can help. In appropriate cases, Medicare, Medicaid, or Veterans Assistance benefits can cover a substantial portion, or even the entirety, of home health care costs.
We offer a wealth of resources that we invite you to share with your patients as they explore the topic of senior living costs. Some great places to start include:
