Real talk, real support: Kristy and Amy on mental health accent

May 1, 2025 | By

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to come together, speak up, and prioritize something that affects every one of us: our mental well-being. At WesleyLife, we believe enhancing a workplace where people feel seen, heard, and supported starts with open and honest conversation. Talking about mental health shouldn't be uncomfortable — and it shouldn’t be something we save for times of crisis. The more we normalize these conversations, the more we chip away at stigma and create a culture where asking for help is not only accepted, but encouraged.

Please take a moment to watch and listen to our chief culture officer, Kristy VanDerWiel, and Wesley on Grand sales director Amy Bassett discuss mental health from perspectives that are both professional and personal. They reinforce that when we as team members feel safe, supported, and equipped with resources to help us care for our mental health, everyone benefits; productivity rises, compassion grows, and we build the kind of workplace where people thrive — together.
