Campus receives highest-quality state rating accent

Cottages exteriorIn each of our WesleyLife Communities for Healthy Living, we're proud of our commitment to the well-being of those who have placed their trust in us. That commitment begins with adherence to regulations for services and care that are established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the State of Iowa.

State inspectors recently visited The Cottages, a campus of Hearthstone in Pella, for an annual survey to ensure that the community is adhering to those regulatory requirements. The campus was delighted to be awarded a "Deficiency-Free" result -- a rating earned by only about 5 percent of 400-plus senior living communities statewide.

The annual survey, conducted over several days, covered more than 500 quality, safety, and performance metrics such as medication management, needs assessments, respect for residents' rights, environment, admissions, and nutrition. The evaluation included a tour of the community, a review of residents’ clinical records, and interviews with residents and family members about life at Hearthstone.

What does this "Deficiency-Free" rating mean to our residents and family member? It means you can rest assured that our community meets or exceeds ALL state and federal standards for service and care, ALL the time.

Pella cottages addition 1-22 1As The Cottages prepares to open a 36-suite addition, we're happy to provide this peace of mind, and we thank our dedicated team members for having made it possible for us to achieve this stellar rating!
