Learn about the WellSpire difference!
On July 1, 2019, WesleyLife and Genesis Health System of Davenport, Iowa, formed a partnership that created WellSpire, a new kind of senior living for the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois. Our shared vision focused on health and well-being and a person-centered model of care, with a goal of building on the quality care and services for which Genesis already was known.
WellSpire is uniquely positioned to help individuals lead fulfilling lives that focus on purpose and well-being. Even our name itself explains who we are, and who we will aspire to be as we move forward. The derivation of the name is:
- "Well": Healthy, in good health, robust, strong, vigorous, blooming, thriving
- "Inspire": Motivate, persuade, encourage, influence, move, stir, energize, incite
As a health and well-being organization, inciting residents, clients, participants, and team members to be mindful of their well-being is paramount to WesleyLife’s “why.” And the Genesis mission – “to provide compassionate, quality health services to all those in need” – is inherent in that component of the name as well.
What's Next for WellSpire?

More exciting news: Fieldstone of DeWitt!
Site work has begun at the future home of Fieldstone of DeWitt*, which will replace Westwing Place in 2022 with a campus offering assisted living, memory support, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care.
Fieldstone will be located north of 11th Street off Maynard Way in DeWitt.
The project has been supported by a sizable capital campaign led by the DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation, which provided an initial gift of $1 million and has engaged with DeWitt community members and those in the surrounding area who have helped champion the development.
More than $4 million of the $5 million project goal has been raised to date.
The 95,000-square-foot building on a 14-acre campus will be developed on a foundation of health and well-being designed to enhance the lives of its residents, clients, and team members.
