James ClindanielJames A. Clindaniel Jr., CHE, Executive Director
 

James A. Clindaniel Jr., CHE, most recently served as executive director of Hidden Lake, a Lutheran Senior Services community located in St. Louis. He is a board-certified healthcare executive, a premier credential in healthcare management; and licensed nursing home administrator.

Clindaniel holds a master of business administration degree in Human Resource Emphasis from New Hampshire College; bachelor of science degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, Ill.; and associate degree in Pharmacy Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

From 1987 through 1997, Clindaniel served in various hospital administration and management positions at four U.S. Naval hospitals; he then served as an aeromedical evacuation operations operator for the Scott Air Force Base; and from 1999 through 2015, served as a health care administrator or executive director of several health care centers and communities serving older adults. 

John TaylorJohn Taylor, Director of Plant Operations

    

John Taylor joined The Village team in 2015.  He has more than 12 years of maintenance experience in a variety of organizations. John lived in California and New York before moving to Iowa in 2009. His most recent experience is in commercial and residential maintenance with R&R Realty in West Des Moines.  His “hands-on” approach are beneficial in directing the maintenance and housekeeping efforts.

Monica VailMonica Vail, Wellness Director

Monica Vail is passionate about health promotion and disease prevention. Her background as a registered nurse, along with certification of competency as a health coach, enables her to assist The Village's residents along their personal journey to well-being. The Village's holistic approach to health and well-being is what sets apart the community and supports WesleyLife’s mission to transform the aging experience. In addition to The Village, she serves on the Warren County Health Services Committee and teaches healthy living classes at the local YMCA. Her previous position was with the Mercy Accountable Care leadership team as a health coach manager overseeing health coaches housed within Mercy Clinics, along with managing our employee health coaching program.

Julia FitzhughJulia Fitzhugh, Marketing Director

Julia Fitzhugh, Director of Marketing, is an experienced marketing leader with strong foundations in strategic and tactical marketing and communication solutions, multi-channel development, product development, growth strategy and project management. Julia serves on the Warren County Leadership Institute Board of Directors, the Regional Leadership Council and the Warren County Wellness Coalition.

Nancy McKassonNancy McKasson, Office Manager

Nancy McKasson has been with Wesley Life at The Village for 15 years. Nancy is an experienced business professional with strong foundations in accounting, office operations, human resources and customer service. Being an Indianola native, she gained prior experience in the Indianola and Des Moines job markets.   

Jaycie Bock, RN, Director of Nursing

Jaycie started her work with older adults as a teenager working as a CNA near her hometown of Glidden, Iowa. Since that time, she has graduated with her Master’s degree in nursing from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jaycie has experience in acute care in the hospital setting, long-term care, and leadership. She was drawn to her role at The Village because of Wesley Life’s dedication to wellness and enhancing the aging experience.

Tami BinghamTami Bingham, People and Culture Specialist

Tami holds a degree in business management with an emphasis in human resources and minor in business communications from the University of Northern Iowa. Tami has nine years of experience in human resources and obtained her Professional in Human Resources certification, which demonstrates mastery of the technical and operational aspects of human resources practices, and U.S. laws and regulations. She started at The Village in June 2014. 
Angela SmithAngela Smith, Director of Social Services Angela Smith started her career by managing adults with intellectual disabilities in Illinois in 2004. She then moved to Iowa in 2007 and was the administrator for residential care facilities. She came to WesleyLife in March 2015. As her role of the social worker, she works to ensure that the continuum of care is carried out. She earned her bachelor of science degree from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill.
