WesleyLife and WesleyLife Foundation have announced the addition of several business and community leaders to their volunteer boards of directors.
Joining the WesleyLife Board of Directors are Nathaniel Doddridge and Charles “Chuck” Larson Jr. Joining the WesleyLife Foundation Board of Directors are Allison Pendroy, Megan Miller, and John Griesenbrock.
The WesleyLife Board of Directors and WesleyLife Foundation Board of Directors provide leadership, strategic guidance, and stewardship that help shape how WesleyLife serves older adults, team members, families, and communities across Iowa.
New WesleyLife Board Members:
Nathaniel Doddridge, senior vice president, Fuels for Casey’s General Stores, joins the WesleyLife Board of Directors while continuing his service on the WesleyLife Foundation Board of Directors. He will serve as a liaison between the two entities. In his role with Casey’s, Doddridge leads strategy and execution for the fuels division. Before joining Casey’s in 2017, he spent 13 years in leadership roles across fuel and store operations at Murphy USA.
Charles “Chuck” Larson Jr. is a founding partner of LS2group, a strategic communications firm providing public policy, public relations, and marketing services. He previously served as U.S. ambassador to Latvia, in the Iowa Legislature, and in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
New WesleyLife Foundation Board Members:
Allison Pendroy is president and CEO of WesleyLife and a nationally recognized senior services operations leader. She joined WesleyLife as chief operating officer in 2023 and became president and CEO in June 2026. Before joining WesleyLife, Pendroy served as senior vice president/Life Plan communities for Life Care Services, where she was accountable for 26 communities throughout the United States.
John Griesenbrock is vice president, perishables for Hy-Vee, where he helps develop leaders, strengthen teams, and support operational excellence across a range of retail areas. His Hy-Vee career spans nearly three decades in store-level and corporate roles.
Megan Miller is a client executive at Holmes Murphy, where she works with businesses to create benefits strategies that support organizational goals and team member well-being. A graduate of Luther College, Miller is active in the Des Moines community through the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and several young-professional organizations.
Sophia S. Ahmad, vice president of philanthropy for WesleyLife, said the new members bring valuable perspective and experience to the organization’s boards.
“Our foundation’s community impact is a direct reflection of the exceptional leadership of our foundation board, which has driven a nearly 50 percent increase in charitable giving and doubled our endowed funds to more than $25 million since the founding of WesleyLife Foundation in 2022,” Ahmad said. “We are deeply grateful for their leadership.”
In addition to the new members, the WesleyLife Board of Directors includes Chad Rasmussen, chair; Susan Osweiler, secretary/treasurer; Kip Albertson; Kari Cooling; Barbara Decker; Nick Henderson; Laura Jackson; Johannes “John” Moorlach; Dr. Christina Taylor; and Rich Willis.
The WesleyLife Foundation Board of Directors includes Nathaniel Doddridge, chair; Gayle Poortinga, vice chair; Lisa Nelson; Todd Okesson; Scott Harrington; Dr. Suzie Glazer Burt, honorary member; and Lois Vermeer, honorary member.
