At Park Centre in Newton, generosity has taken tangible form. Caring local donors contributed $1.2 million to enhance the community’s memory care household, creating a warm, homelike environment where residents living with dementia can thrive.

The redesigned space — now filled with natural light, inviting seating, and the welcoming aromas of a family kitchen — was made possible entirely through local support, led by a campaign committee inspired by compassion and community pride.

As Leisa Zylstra, director of sales and marketing at Park Centre, shared, “The community of Newton was willing to show up and support our residents and family members. We wanted this to be a homelike environment — comfortable, warm, and inviting — and we did that by creating these new spaces.”
