The Rob Kretzinger
Legacy Campaign
29 years of vision. $2.9 million for the future.
We celebrate Rob's nearly 30 years of leadership and the lasting impact he has shaped at WesleyLife — grounded in service, driven by innovation, and focused on revolutionizing the experience of aging.
Building a Lasting Foundation
Rob's leadership helped grow WesleyLife into a dynamic network supporting older adults across Iowa. More importantly, he shaped a belief that still guides us today: care should be accessible, forward-looking, and centered on the whole person. This campaign ensures that work continues.
Your gift supports a permanent endowment — strengthening WesleyLife for today and for the years ahead.
The Impact
Your gift does more than honor a CEO. It invests in the future of WesleyLife. The WesleyLife Endowment will provide sustainable resources to:
Extend Healthspan
With 95% of older adults managing chronic conditions — even as they live longer lives — we are rewriting the script on aging. Your support helps us elevate well-being frameworks that focus on adding life to years, expand community-based wellness services, and advance innovative healing experiences.
Positively Impact Ageism
Iowa is home to one of the oldest populations in the nation. By 2030, Iowans aged 65+ will outnumber those under 18, and by 2040, the 85+ population will grow by over 90%. Your investment helps us create experiences not defined by age and inspires a new generation of professionals to join this movement.
Create a Thriving Workforce
Clinical turnover in aging services is 33% higher than in hospitals. Rob has always held deep appreciation for the team members who care for our residents every day. Your gift will help expand career pathways, strengthen professional development, and build environments where everyone — from caregivers to culinary team members — can flourish.
Address Gaps in Services
Financial fragility among older adults is real: Nearly half of all older Iowans live below the ALICE threshold (the minimum average income needed for households to afford basic necessities). In addition, more than 20,000 older adults in Polk County experience food insecurity. Your gift helps ensure no need goes unmet and strengthens our nearly 80-year-old WesleyLife Promise, which is close to Rob’s heart: No resident will ever be asked to leave if they outlive their resources through no fault of their own.
