Not Just Lip Service: What Mission Means to the People Who Serve You

Written by WesleyLife | June 04, 2021

Ask WesleyLife team members about the ways they connect personally with the organization's mission, and chances are they'll say that along with the organization's culture, mission is a huge driver of purpose and connection in their work. Here's what CEO Rob Kretzinger has to say about the ways mission propels him forward.

"I’m grateful every day to be a part of the WesleyLife mission – and I can sum up my feelings in the words we live by as an organization: John Wesley’s famous passage, which is etched in marble in the foyer of our Network Support Center in Johnston," Rob said.

"It’s a huge responsibility, but such a simple directive: “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.

"I try to ask myself daily: 'Is that what I’ve done?' And … 'Can I do more?' This is important work, challenging work, and very rewarding. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity be a part of this this mission, and I’m grateful every day for the residents and clients who trust us to help give their lives greater purpose and meaning."
