On Administrative Professionals’ Day, WesleyLife thanks our administrative team members for all they do to keep the organization running on all cylinders for the benefit of those we serve. At the Network Support Center in Johnston, we are grateful to Amy R., executive assistant; Emma B., administrative assistant; and Jessica H., concierge.

We thank these valued team members for using their considerable talents for the good of our mission. Here's a note from each of them about why they feel called to serve.

Amy, left:  "I was taught at a young age to 'treat others as you would want to be treated,' and I think it is so important to be kind to others even when you may not feel like it because you never know what someone else is going through. Being kind, friendly, and generous in every interaction with others just makes this world a better place because hopefully that person will then be kind to others as they have been treated kindly by me, therefore spreading kindness or paying kindness forward themselves!"

Emma, center: "Serving fulfills my purpose. On those days when I'm maybe not in the best frame of mind and have lots of requests, extending love and care to the individuals I've been called to serve can actually have a positive effect on me as well. They have so much responsibility and so much on their plates, and knowing that I am a purposeful cog in the machine makes me feel valued and reminds me of my worth."

Jessica, right: "I am grateful that in my role, I am able to make an impact. I am good at listening, and I like to make sure people are seen and heard. If I can affect someone's day in a positive way, that makes me feel thankful."
