For Tyler, Wesley Feels Like Home

Kirk Tyler, CEO of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling, has a long history with WesleyLife. As a child, he would often visit his grandparents who lived at WesleyLife's Heritage House in Atlantic. Today, Tyler serves as a Board of Directors member at WesleyLife and is a supporter of a number of WesleyLife services.

"I grew up in a Wesley family," Tyler says. "My grandfather was one of the first to move into Heritage House in 1963. As a kid we would visit and cause all kinds of trouble. I just remember it was always a great place for my grandparents."

Tyler is committed to ensuring WesleyLife services are great for all they serve. Tyler and his wife, Janel, provide financial support to Heritage House, Meals on Wheels, and hospice.

In addition, Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling recently made a major gift to the Adult Day Center project. Tyler says the decision to support the programs and services of WesleyLife is an easy one.

"It makes me feel good," he says. "And services for older adults are changing so much. You used to go someplace to retire. Now they are active living communities, and it is nice to be able to positively impact that.

"By doing so, when I'm that age, I will be able to live according to my schedule."
