WesleyLife continues to be a leader in providing Long Term Care options to aging Iowans.
A Difficult Decision…the Obvious Choice
Deciding when to seek long-term nursing care for a loved one can be a difficult and emotional decision. At WesleyLife, we understand that while a family’s love and care is significant, there comes a time when the family is no longer able to provide the level of physical and medical care necessary for an aging loved one.
Our goal at Wesley Acres is to provide a wide variety of specialized care options and amenities for each resident while embracing our values of quality, dignity and service. The John Stoddard Health Center at Wesley Acres simply does not fit the stereotype of an old-style nursing home. As part of our ECHO Initiative – Encouraging Choices, Honoring Options – we put the residents first by offering a loving, respectful lifestyle filled with choices that ensure they remain mentally and physically active.
Our devotion to care is part of our wellness philosophy, which is the core value to what makes every WesleyLife program special. Our mission is to provide the support and options to help keep residents independent, healthy and engaged in life.
John Stoddard Health Center:
- Private and semi-private rooms in a home-like environment
- Personal furniture items and decorations encouraged
- Daily meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Housekeeping, laundry service and utilities are included
- Social Coordinators who develop programs that focus on the mind, body and spirit
- 24-hour professional care and security
- Assistance with daily activities like bathing and dressing
- Medication distribution and monitoring
- On site physical, occupational, and speech therapies
- Multi-disciplinary case planning team to work with physicians, family members and social workers to ensure each resident receives personalized care
