Friends Dot Logan and Fred Matthias think that Park Centre really rocks. There are so many cool amenities, like a topnotch fitness program, a cheerful and dependable staff, the availability of an array of knowledgeable speakers and talented entertainers, delicious meals with a great group of fellow residents and guests, and very comfortable apartments in a pretty park-like setting just blocks away from the hub of an active, forward-looking community. They can walk to church, stores, the bank and the library. The hospital and physician clinics are adjacent to our building, and, at age 93, Fred even walks to work at his law office two mornings a week. Fred & Dot regularly bike together around town and on trails throughout Iowa and as far east as New York State and Pennsylvania.
"We enjoy traveling, reading, attending concerts, plays, the opera and family-related activities. Fred plays trombone in Park Centre's orchestra, and we both are members of the vocal quartet. We also have fun competing in Wii bowling tournaments."
